Tue, 01 Feb 2022

Goole Museum is inviting entrants from in and around Goole to submit artwork for its popular 2022 Open Art Exhibition.

The exhibition, which is in its eighth year, celebrates the creativity of local amateur and professional artists and provides an exciting opportunity for members of the community to display and sell their artwork.

Work will be showcased to the public between 9 April and 18 June.

Previous exhibitions have seen a fascinating array of artwork, including impressive paintings and photography. The museum also welcome textiles, as well as sculptures and ceramics.

This year's exhibition is the first under new museum curator, Dr Alex Ombler.

Dr Ombler said: "I'm very excited to welcome local artists to submit their artwork for the 2022 Open Art Exhibition at Goole Museum. I know from previous years we have some immensely talented artists in and around Goole and we'd like to encourage entrants in past exhibitions to come back and display their artwork.

"We'd also like to invite new entrants to submit their work at the museum, which is a very friendly and welcoming place. The gallery for our temporary exhibitions is a great space to showcase and or sell your work."
