About the centre
Hornsea Children’s Centre services are based within the Hornsea Hub and has been serving the community and surrounding villages since 2008. The friendly, passionate and knowledgeable staff team work alongside colleagues from Midwifery and Health Visiting to provide a range of activities and services for children and their parents or carers, grandparents or childminders from pregnancy to age 9.We have recently achieved the Gold Standard Baby Friendly Accreditation which enables us to better support families with feeding and developing close, loving relationships with their babies.

There is on-site parking directly outside the Hornsea Hub. You can register your car registration when entering the Children’s Centre for free parking.

There is a pram store facility at the rear access to the Children’s Centre. For access to this please speak to a member of staff.

  • Seahorse Room - a large playroom, with a wide variety of toys, books, craft activities, which leads to a lovely outside play area with fake grass and soft tarmac, with plenty of space to run around.
  • Starfish Room - a large playroom with sensory equipment, LED lights and plenty of space to spread out for Infant Massage. This room also leads to the garden area with joining doors into the Seahorse Room to create one large spacious area to play.
  • Kitchen - a large kitchen accessible from the Starfish Room, available for bookable cooking sessions.
  • Take and Make - low cost home learning craft resources are available to help you put crafting ideas with your little ones into practice.
  • Free Wi-Fi available throughout the Hub.
  • Baby changing facilities are available throughout the building and Children’s Centre.
  • Comfortable breast feeding and infant feeding facilities.
  • Health room facility for 1-1 consultations.
  • Multi-purpose meeting room
  • Café facilities are available within the Hub leading out onto the pedestrianised promenade.
  • There is a pram store facility at the rear access to the Children’s Centre. For access to this please speak to a member of staff.
Disabled access throughout the Hub. There is a specific disabled toilet within the Children’s Centre for our families.

Unfortunately, because of Covid-19 restrictions, casual visitors wanting to tour the new facilities at Hornsea Hub will not be able to do so at this time. Phone (01964) 537160.
