How can I get involved in the East and North Yorkshire Waterways Partnership?

Membership of the Waterways Partnership is open to all organisations, groups and businesses who share its aims, agree to work within its constitution, and operate within the partnership area.  

To express an interest in joining the Waterways Partnership, please send your name, organisation/group/business name, and email address to:

Which groups are involved in the East and North Yorkshire Waterways Partnership?

The East and North Yorkshire Waterways Partnership brings together a wide range of groups and organisations, all of which have a vested interest in the area’s waterways, and promotes a collaborative approach to their economic, environmental and social regeneration

The Waterways Partnership has representation from the following groups:

• Community and voluntary groups (local, regional and national)
• Amenity associations and civic societies
• Internal drainage boards and flood risk management authorities
• Navigation authorities
• Landowners and managers
• Conservation and environmental charities and groups
• Local nature partnerships and biodiversity partnerships
• Riparian town and parish councils (those that are situated adjacent to waterways)
• User groups and clubs representing boaters, anglers, canoeists, walkers and other areas of waterway interest
• Partnerships and organisations dedicated to rural development
• Bodies sponsored by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) (including the Environment Agency and Natural England).
