RADAR Keys are the national scheme to allow independent access for disabled people to accessible public toilets.
You can apply for a RADAR key at your local Customer Service Centre.
To be eligible for a RADAR key you will have to provide proof that you are disabled by production of one of the following:
- a green card
- disabled badge
- Sight Impairment Card (from the Sensory Impairment Team)
- a doctor’s note
- proof of receipt of Higher Rate DLA or equivalent (PIP).
If you are a parent carer of a child or young person (aged 0 - 19 years old) who needs a RADAR key you can show your Shop and Save card to show eligibility. If you need more information on this, please call the FISH team on (01482) 396469.
Please note: If an adult wishes to buy a RADAR key on behalf of someone else they can do so providing they show a proof of eligibility document as mentioned above.
A non-refundable administration charge will also be required of £2.50.
RADAR Keys are run by the National Key Scheme.
