The sub-committee can make the following decisions:
Approve - this means that the application can go ahead.
Refuse - this means that the application cannot go ahead.
Defer - either for members to carry out a site visit before making a decision, or for members to request more information from other parties before the application is brought back to be considered by the committee.
Defer and delegate approval or refusal - this means that the Sub-committee gives authority to the Director to approve or refuse an application subject to the provisos in the report without the need for the application to be reconsidered by the Sub-Committee.
Refer to the Planning Committee - this means that the Sub-Committee has voted to approve an application which is contrary to the council's planning policies and therefore has to be referred to the Planning Committee for determination.
