Within East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Worklink have a variety of Outreach projects which focus on helping people of all ages with learning disabilities to take their place in the life of the community. These services are delivered through day centres and Outreach teams.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens is home to an Outreach centre, hosting approximately 30 adults with learning disabilities, ranging in age from 18 to 80 and coming from all over the East Riding area.

Using a horticultural environment, individuals gain valuable training in all aspects of life within the community including social, leisure and academic skills and work experience of a therapeutic nature.

The site serves as a great environment for this project providing the opportunity for those involved to interact with staff and visitors, thus improving their communication and numeracy skills. It also provides the chance to enjoy the work they do, have fun and sell their produce at the same time!

Worklink at Sewerby has plants for sale throughout the year.
